Music of Lord of the Rings
Epic music from all three Lord of the Rings films is featured on a special WSCO program celebrating the Academy Award-Winning Canadian composer Howard Shore. The orchestra also explores music by Richard Wagner, whose famous Ring Cycle of operas had great influence not only on Shore, but on author J.R.R. Tolkien as well.
